Darcha Lamayura Trek

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi from abroad
Pick up from airport to hotel, overnight in hotel

Day 2 Sightseeing Delhi, evening drive to Manali by car 585 km
Visit the most famous Sights in Delhi today ( Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar…). In the evening we start towards Manali.

Day 3 Manali Rest day and local Sightseeing
Use this day to relax from the overnight journey, visit the market or do some guided local sightseeing with us (The Mall, Tibetan Monastery, Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot spring, Manu Temple. Overnight in Hotel

Day 4 Manali to Darcha 8 hrs (3500 m) to Palmo 5 hrs ( 3900m) by Jeep
By jeep through the Rohtang Pass, further to Darcha and then to Palmo, overnight in camp

Day 5 Palmo to Zanskar Sumdo (4200m) 6 hrs
Continue on the left bank until reaching a second ford. Then go up the right hand valley. There is good path on the sides of the stream, overnight in camp

Day 6 Zanskar Sumdo to Chumi Nagpo 7hrs
From the camp climb moderate slopes to the foot of Shingo-La. There are some small streams to cross, the ground fllaters out and the path zig-zag through a moraine, overnight in camp

Day 7 Chumi Nagpo to Lakhang 7hrs
Go cross the Shingo la pass (5100m) overnight in camp,

Day 8 Lakhang to Kargyak
An easy descent to the camp site with the panoramic view of the valley, overnight in camp

Day 9 Kargyak to Purni 6 hrs
A short distance beyond Tanze, a bridge links to the left bank Monotonous going across morainic terrain. A slight rise leading to Kuru, Major settlement of livestock breeders, overnight in camp

Day 10 Rest Day and visit to Phuktal Monastry
The Phuktal monastry is one of the most spectacular sights in zanskar Phuktal belongs to the tradition of the Gelupas( Yellow Hats.). the spring that gurgles deep in the cave is still out of bounds to women, overnight in camp

Day 11 Purni to Ichar 6 hrs
The trail that overhauge the Tsarap is tricky and hard going. Very good camp site an interesting fortified village, overnight in camp

Day 12 Ichar to Mune 6hrs
Cross back over to the left bank, then a gradual climb before coming to amajor tributary. Gradual descent down towards Reru and after that a quiet, beautiful plain covered with flowers, overnight in camp

Day 13 Mune to Padum 5hrs
You can visit the Barden gompa , a Kagyupa Monastry famous for its prayer wheels that are 180 cm. high, overnight in camp

Day 14 Padum to Karcha 5 hrs
From padum hesd towards pipiting and then a dusty plain towards river Doda, overnight in camp

Day 15 Karcha to Pishu 5hrs
Before Pishu , make a little de tour to see the longest hanging bridge over Zanskar(55mts.), it leads towards Zangla, overnight in camp

Day 16 Pishu to Hanumil 6hrs
Continue along the left bank, easy going sometimes along the river and at times across the moronic plateau, overnight in camp

Day 17 Hanumil to Parfi la- Nyste 7hrs
The path leads away from the edge of Zanskar, up to the plateau. Then to the foot of the pass Parfi-La(3900mts.), a wonderful look out, overnight in camp

Day 18 Nyste to Lingshed 7 hrs
Go across the Hanuma la(4700mts.). An easy descent towards Lingshed(3800mts.), overnight in camp

Day 19Lingshed to Foot of Sengge - la 7 hrs
Easy climb of 1 hr. to the Murgum –La(4100mts.). a gentle descent towards village Gongma (3840mts.) then to base of Sengge –la, overnight in camp

Day 20 Singge - La to Photoksar 7hrs
A rather steep climb to the sengge –La takes from 2hrs. (5000mts) and then walk leads to a broad valley. Descent towards Photoksar (3750mts.) a Splended village, overnight in camp

Day 21 Photoksar to Hannupatta 7hrs
From the village agentle climb up to a large chorten (1 hr.) after that a long ascent to the Sir Sir La, overnight in camp

Day 22 Hannupata to Wanla 5hrs
It is a Last day of trekking rout after crossing the 10th. pass Printiti- La (3400mts.), overnight in camp

Day 23 Wanla to Lamayuru drive to Leh by Jeep 124 km
It takes 4hrs. to lamayuru. Visit the Lamayuru monastry , which is the biggest in the western ladakh. And built in the 16th. century on the site of a much older temple. The monastry is very well kept and famous for its many colourful wall painting. Then drive to Leh 124 km, overnight in hotel

Day 24 In Leh  - visit Leh Palace, Shankar Gompa, Shanti Stupa and Leh Bazar, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery Overnight in hotel

Day 25 In Leh - Day free for independent activities Overnight in hotel

Day 26 Depature Leh - by flight back to Delhi Overnight in hotel

Day 27 Flight back home
