Himalayan Trails is offering different type of Day Hikes around Manali who does not have time for longer treks. Himalayan Trails is offering day hikes since 2011. If you are in Manali you wanted to explore local area, culture, temple, food, forest, traditions and people so Himalayan trails has lots of Verities to explore all these. We have three different types of Hikes as per people required Easy, Medium and Difficult.
Easy Hikes:-
Deep Forest: - Deep Forest trek is very easy trek but long trek, the trek will start from Himalayan trails Office at 9 :00 am Every day departure from Old Manali 2 km from New Manali. The trek goes to Dev Diyaar (Himalayan Cider tree) some part of the forest it’s very thick. On the way you will go through pine tree, apple tree, plam tree and peach tree. This trek will make a circle so you will not come back on the same way. On the way back we will visit few local Village will talk about their life style, work, food and houses. The trek will end at the same place Himalayan Trails Office. But before we will visit very Famous Temple in Manali HADIMBA TEMPLE. Trek will take 6 to 7 hours.
Jogni Water Fall:- Jogni means in Local in Mountain (the goodness who lives in Trees, Rock and Mountain)The Jogni Water fall trek you can do in two ways from Old Manali.
1St Option -We will drive you to Vashist (2050m) 6 km and then start trek to Jogni Waterfall will take 3 to 4 hours going and coming back on the same way. So the trek will ends in Vashith where you can take a quick dip in the hot springs water before heading drive to Manali.
2nd option- The trek will start from Old Manali or New Manali. The walk goes via the sacred Jogni Waterfall (2280m) and through the local villages of Old Manali, Goshal and Bahang. We will visit Temple and Jogni Water fall and walk back to Vashith Village. From Vashisth we will take any transport back to Manali. 4 to 5 hours
Medium Hikes:-
Solang Valley:-Trek to Solang Valley we are offering from Old Manali. On the way to Solang valley we will go through Old Manali Village, Goshal Village, Sannag Village and Burua Village. then arrive in Solang Valley, an area popular with adventure sport enthusiasts which offers activities including skiing, paragliding, Horse Riding, ATV ride and Zorbing. Having taken in the stunning views of glaciers and snow capped peaks we will return you to Manali by jeep. 6 to 7 Hours.
Gulam Lang:-Trek to Gulam Lang will start from Old Manali. Gulam Lang trek will go through Old Manali Village and right side of river Manalsu. Manalsu River and Manali Name comes from Lord Manu Rishi. The first part is very Gradual walk and second part is quit up hill. You will go and back same way. In this hike you will gain Maximum altitude from 2100mtrs to 2650mtrs. Will take 6 to 7 hours
Difficult Hikes:-
Lama Dug 3200mtrs: - Lama Dug trek is one of the most difficult trek in Manali. The trek will start from Old Manali and its goes continue Uphill till Lama Dug. On this trek you will gain maximum altitude 3200mtrs from 2100mtrs. On the top you have view for above 6000mtrs peak Indrasan 6221mtrs and Deo tibba 6001mtrs. This trek you will also make circle. On the way back you have 1000mtrs downhill. Will take 8 to 9 hours
Patalsu Peak 4250mtrs:- Patalsu peak trek is most challenging day trek around Manali. We will drive to Solang Nalla 2430mtrs and the trek will start from here through Solang Village Patalsu top is 4250mtrs height. It is an uphill trek passing through dense forests which then emerges through the tree line (3500m) which will offer you beautiful views of the valley. Having reached the peak, you then return to Solang where we will drive back to Manali. 9 to 10 hours
